We are using a professional fundraising agency, The Fundraising Partnership, to help raise vital funds for Leeds Hospitals Charity, both residential (door-to door) and at private sites (supermarkets and GPs).
We use agencies to help promote our weekly lottery and to engage new supporters and ask them to support Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Our fundraisers will wear branded Leeds Hospitals Charity jackets and will have official ID cards that will carry the name of the agency that they work for. They will also have iPads to sign people up electronically. All personal details are securely held and cannot be accessed by the individual fundraiser.
Our fundraisers work across the following areas: Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Bradford, York and Harrogate. For up to date locations visit The Leeds Hospitals Charity website here.
If you are a resident in Great Britain and aged 18 years or over, you can potentially play our lottery.
Each player makes an advance payment for a unique number that is then entered into the weekly draw. Winners are selected by random number generator draw software and each number has an equal chance of winning a prize.
Each weekly lottery entry costs £2.00. You pay by Direct Debit at £8.67 per month per entry, which covers entry for the full year. Once you have signed up you will receive a welcome letter with your unique lottery number, and the date of your entry into the draw.
Your unique number is also used in the weekly rollover draw, if it is selected by the random number generator draw software you win the amount that is in the rollover prize pot at that time. If no winner is selected the prize pot continues to roll over until its won or reaches £25,000.
Read our Terms and Conditions.
The maximum number of entries you can purchase is five.

As you are setting up a Direct Debit to pay for your entries, we are legally required to provide you with a 10 day cooling off period to allow you to change your mind if you wish.
Once this 10 day period has passed, your Direct Debit will be deducted at the earliest date possible – this date will be outlined in your welcome letter.

Regular weekly players that win a prize will automatically be notified and will receive a Bacs payment into their bank account, normally within 10 working days of the draw. Single ticket holders (one off plays) should keep an eye out for the list of winners and then contact us to make their claim. We will need to verify a single ticket win before issuing prizes.
After the draw has taken place all winners will be contacted and informed of their winnings. Any players who pay be monthly direct debit will automatically be paid by BACS within 10 working days of the draw date. The profits from all our lotteries are paid directly to Leeds Hospitals Charity after we have deduced the lottery running costs and the prizes.
We give a minimum of 20% to Leeds Hospitals Charity. This is used to help fund the things that make a real difference to patients and their families, and help to enhance the care the NHS already provides.
This includes life-saving equipment, treatments and research into rare diseases, and helps to bring hope, happiness and home comforts to every bedside.
Over time and with the increase in the number of ticket sales, the proceeds to the charity will increase.
We are open and transparent about the way our lottery operates, and by law we must operate fairly and provide our participants with the information they need to make an informed decision.

Anyone who is concerned their gambling may be becoming a problem can request to be temporarily excluded from all our gambling activities. They just need to contact us to discuss whether a self-exclusion (minimum of 6 months) is the best option, and if it is we can agree this with them.
If an individual is self-excluded, we place their details on an exclusion database and they will not be able to take part in any of our lotteries or draws and they will not receive any gambling related marketing from us. After six months (minimum) the self-exclusion will be removed unless the individual contacts us to request that it is extended.
